Joan and her husband, Glenn, live in Loch Lloyd, MO. They have 3 grown children, 2 of whom are married. They love spending time with their 4 grandchildren, traveling the world, and golfing. Joan serves on the Catholic Charities of NE KS Board of Directors and is the former Catholic Education Foundation Board Chair. She and Glenn have been active at St. Michael the Archangel since its inception and have held various leadership positions in the parish.
How have you seen faith positively influence leadership and decision-making in business?
Throughout my career as an entrepreneur for 32 years and now as the president of a corporate division, I have admired and learned from other leaders who openly shared the impact of their faith on their decisions and how they invest in people. I have seen the right thing is usually never the easy thing. I try to never forget that my employees, my colleagues, and my clients all know I am passionate about my Catholic faith. The way I conduct myself in business and the way I treat others is a potential lens to Christ-like love in the workplace in a world that can be divisive and polarizing.
